Coincidence or not, as I am getting ready to head to New York for Grand Champagne Tasting, I unearthed a poster created by Jean-Pierre Got for Pol Roger Holiday 2007 season.
Here's the story behind its creation as related by Jean-Pierre:
Champagne Pol Roger was created in 1849. Known to be among the best champagne wines, it was Sir Winston Churchill's favourite.
The Vintage Poster I was asked to create lately had to show "a waiter on a golf course with the Pol Roger logo" and also express "the Excellence and Independence of the brand". On this 1925 tourism poster "Comment sabrer son swing", a golfer is playing with very special tee and ball while a distinguished waiter is attending as a dedicated caddy.
The limited series of 1,000 signed & numbered poster lithographs were/are offered to guests at the Pol Roger Champagne House in Epernay.
A collector by now I guess.
