The old Fortress of Montepulciano re-opened on February 13 after a year of intense work, for the 2011 Preview Tasting of the Vino Nobile. Restricted for now to one wing of the building, the restoration was carried out largely thanks to the financial commitment of the associated Vino Nobile producers.
Highlights of the program include original and unpublished plates for a story by Hugo Pratt.
For exhibit opening, the guest of honour will be Daniel Zezelj, "a fundamental artist in the history of this publication, who will open the exhibition with a performance of live painting accompanied by his wife, American saxophonist Jessica Lurie."
The exhibit will be on display until July 31, 2011.
