After sharing a couple of recipes from Paella cookbook (Phaidon), I started musing about wines that might do the trick as far as pairings go.
Instead, I ended up opening a White Rioja by El Coto (2010) as companion wine for a Lobster Pizza by Calendar Islands Maine Lobster.
The crispness, light acidity and pleasant aromas of the White Rioja by El Coto (100% Viuja) worked well with white Newburg sauce that serves as the base along with fresh mozzarella and Maine lobster.
Thin crust came out golden brown and lobster pizza was sized just right for two.
Who says dinner has to be hard work.
I should have made a quick salad to round the meal.
Wine retails for $10, Lobster Pizza at $26.95
Now if i was to try Maine Lobster Pot Pie by Calendar Islands what should I drink?
