After spotting Riffino Valentine and his Valentine Vodka made in Detroit via A food adventure in Detroit (Guardian, November 23, 2011), I asked him the secret behind 'Detroit Dirty', his signature cocktail.
Answer is simple: Recipe is same as a dirty martini, except instead of Olive Brine you use Detroit & Brooklyns own McClure's spicy pickle brine, garnish with McClure's spicy pickle chub.
Riffino sticks to traditional ways in his vodka making and uses prohibition/speakeasy era imagery from Valentine's Vodka label to its truck.
