Music is Free in Paris for 4 evenings thanks to Festival Fnac Live 2012 which opened today July 19.
First helping included Irma, a native of Douala (Cameroon) based in France (best known song 'Letter to the Lord') and Francois and the Atlas Mountains, the first French act signed by Domino label.
Friday line-up will bring Naive New Beaters at 8:00 PM. La Grande Sophie closes the evening with a 10:00 PM set.
Saturday serves a good slice of new French chanson with Dominique A (8:30 PM) and Arthur H (9:40 PM).
Fourth and last day, Sunday, opens with Mensch (2 girls, a bass and electronics) at 5:30 PM and closes with Tryo (a French quartet) at 10:00 pm. I don't know either as I don't know most of the acts on the festival program.
Blame it on my long presence in the USA.
On each of the 4 days, program kicks off at 5:30 pm, Last act gets on stage between 10 and 11 PM.
You can't miss location, right in front of Hotel de Ville (City Hall).
Enjoy these 4 free servings of music and discover new talent if you are in the neighborhood.
Get there early.
