Latour 1888 to 1913, a Bordeaux Magic Kingdom, wine cellars can be for grown men what a candy store is for kids.
While picking up some items for a client, I was invited to take a tour of such a cellar, one room and region at a time. It was a complete surprise.
I also discovered that one of my former bosses from my restaurant years was instrumental in designing the original wine list, some 20 plus years ago.
If you aim for that rare range of wine, you obviously have to be prepared to shell out serious moula.
$10,000 to tens of thousands that is, for one of these rare bottles.
Bordeaux aficionados can see some of these rare Grand Vins de Latour in header photos.
I also noticed a 1937 Barolo

Amongst Burgundy treats, there was a 1969 La Tache.

Hope this does not make you too thirsty.
