When your laptop T key stops responding, you realize T is one of the 6th most used letters.
It happened to me a few days ago on my frequently used Microsoft Surface.
It was suggested to me to use WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner that dissolves dirt on contact surfaces.
I sprayed it on my keyboard with no tangible results.
I ended up buying a combo mouse and external keyboard that uses only one USB connector while I decide what my next step is.
Actually, my next step is to clean keyboard with compressed air duster.
If nothing makes that T key responsive again, I will consider buying a new laptop.
My Microsoft Surface is 6 or 7 years old and has been getting heavy use.
It took these technical hiccups to realize how different, after all these years of laptop use, it feels to type on a laptop keyboard and a full one. I’ve been bumping into keys on the external one and it became a bit of an exercise in frustration.
