Since I started with this 'crazy idea' of 'A Bistro A Day' I've been amazed to find many 'bistro in name only' options.
Many are restaurants, others don't offer wine which does not really fit.
After checking many suggestions in Edinburgh, I found Whigham's Wine Cellars down a flight of stairs.
They could come up with a more creative vegetarian idea than nachos in their bar menu (snack they call it).
The wood floors bring a certain warmth to the place. Their selection of wines by the glass is decent, (not great) spans the globe and is fairly priced.
Atmosphere wise, I liked the dimly lit tables under the Champagne Board (above) more than the modern room.
It might be drafty in the winter and fall though.
