Unfortunately I will not make it there.
It would be hard to justify the trip just for that.
With a few visits to wineries, some sightseeing and cheese and food scouting, a trip to Italy could make sense.
Recent fare drops on international travel wet my appetite and yours as well it seems from the response I got to the piece on deals for Spain and France.
So I thought I would check Orbitz to see what price Rome would be in the Spring since Spring is only 10 days away.
Want to leave on Saturday and come back on a week later (April 18- April 25), fly round trip from Newark Airport to Rome (via Chicago) for $390 (taxes and fees included).
You might like to wait until the weather gets warmer, leave on a Monday (May 11) come back on May 18, price for the same route goes down a bit to $383 round trip (tax and fees included).
Time to put on our traveling shoes?
If only money was not too tight to mention!
