Since I started Tuesday is Green Day my focus has been on baby steps that each of us can take to improve things.
It’s only natural then for me to mention Practically Green written by Supriya Doshi who describes her experience as "Livin’ the green life isn’t easy–especially when you’re like me, living in the city without a lot of money, space or time. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible".
Check her Green Beer story where she lists a number of earth friendly and/or organic breweries.
It seems that Butte Creek of Chico, California is the new kid on the block since their website is only a welcome page.
I don’t know about their beers but I love their logo (my illustration) and tagline, ‘the official beer of planet earth’.
I went on my own beer trail and found Peak Organic from Maine whose name and origin comes from brewing beer after special moments.
To keep that spirit, their fans can share their own peak moments and illustrate it by uploading photos to document them to the brewery website.
It gives a different feel to the ‘product’.
I will use one of these beers next time I do a crepe batter.
