I often discover new sites and resources without looking for them. They just pop up on the map while I am doing one thing or another.
While checking some details for my recent Clementines in the Park story, I got the location information I needed thanks to A view on Cities.
This guide does not pretend to cover each and every city around the world but rather places that the creator of the site, Kristiaan Van Ermengem (Antwerp), visited.
They are mostly in North America in Europe with the exception of Agra, Hong Kong and Sydney in the Asia-Pacific region.
You can search pictures of his trips by city or by theme, such as theater and opera houses which is how I found my illustration the Teatro La Fenice in Venice (photo courtesy of A view on Cities).
You can also search local facts, maps, hotels and other useful bits when planning your trip.
To support the site Kristiaan sells panoramic pictures as City Posters of a number of sights.
