Checking trend watchers ‘PingMag’ of Tokyo fame, I realized that the hot weather is also hitting Japan.
They offer their Top 10 List of Summer Gadgets. Amongst them my personal favorites are the floating pool lamps made by Metalarte. 
A bit pricey at $450.00 a piece, they would surely make an impression on your guests.
My second favorite is the Light Up Uchiwa, a japanese hand fan, showcasing the type of super heroes that kids are fond of.

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. These lamps are quite attractive, and they would probably create a nice ambiance for a poolside evening party, but, yikes, the price!
