Sniffing around Samin Nosrat new home on the web with its fresh coat of paint still drying, I headed for Ciao Samin (her blog) and found out about Tartine After Hours…
I thought first that it was about having Sardines sur Canape and Toast and Jam for dinner.
Actually Tartine stands for location (Tartine Bakery in San Francisco) and After Hours for the fact that comes 8 PM, Samin and the folks at Tartine Bakery invite willing parties to join them for a family style dinner.
It's not an every night affair.
Next Tartine After Hours session is a 3 Course Family Style Catalonian Summer Feast on July 26 and July 27. Paella is on the menu.
Since Tartine After Hours has become a 'must be there' thing, you have to fill a form and enter a lottery for a seat at the table, then hope your lucky number will come up.
It follows the supper club-speakeasy restaurant model really.
Price: $45 plus wine and gratuity (cash only, please!)
Thanks to Plum Gorgeous Romney Steele for introducing me to the world of Samin.
