As I was looking for a new snack idea for my younger son, I discovered Papadum Chips. I bought the Mango Chutney flavor. Baji’s is the Massachussetts company bringing us Papadum Chips. They describe themselves as ‘Inspired by a mother’s passion for Healthy, Delicious Food‘.
According to the label, they contain no trans fat and no cholesterol and for our friends with celiac disease, they are wheat free and gluten free. One thing that the Mango Chutney flavor displays though is spice. I do not know how spicy the other choices are.
So if you are looking for a different, healthier snack for the kids or yourself give them a try.
Right now they are only available at Whole Foods or directly from Baji’s Online Store. They retail for $1.99.
The traditional Papadum is a South Asian Cracker or Flatbread made with Lentils, Chick Peas and the like.
