I am sure it's not because you don't find any of the 15 books in Cook the Books Contest attractive.
Many of you had better things to do on a Saturday night than enter a contest.
We are extending the deadline for submissions to 6 PM on Monday, March 7.
It's a rainy Sunday in the northeast so you might want to stay in, read, listen to some music and find inspiration and time to send us 5 lines as your ticket to winning 3 cookbooks at once.
There are 5 trios from 5 publishers to pick from (list below):
–Comfort Food Trio, Cook the Books Contest Part 1
–1 Classic, 2 Sneak Previews, Cook the Books Contest Part 2
–Manage Your Kitchen Habits, Cook the Books Contest Part 3
–Italian Trio, Cook the Books Contest Part 4
–Fresh Out of Publisher's Oven, Cook the Books Part 5
Rules to play the game:
Since the theme of World Book Night is all about reading and writing, each participant will send a poem, a haiku, a recipe, some prose related to one of the trios of books, 5 lines maximum.
On Monday, once the dust settles, we will go through all the entries.
The best entry will get first pick, second will pick from remaining four trios and so on for remaining three.
Since the event is called World Book Night, all entries must be submitted between 6 PM on Saturday, March 5 and 6 AM on Sunday, March 6, 2011 (US Eastern Time).
