After 20 plus years in the U.S, I still have to visit Florida.
Browsing through the pages of Michael's Genuine Food (Clarkson Potter) by Michael Schwartz and Joann Cianciulli shows that there is one place in Miami where you will not have to order something tagged 'neo' or 'nuevo'.
It seems that food served at Michael's Genuine Food and Drink, Michael's restaurant in Miami's Design District is as unfussy as his book which lives up to its subtitle 'Down to Earth Cooking for People who Love to Eat'.
I can see his Fresh Homemade Ricotta Crostini (with apricot-thyme jam) on my table for brunch
Light lunch on a warm day go with Florida Lobster Salad (with avocado, papaya and jade dressing)
Down home main dish like Mustard and Molasses St. Louis Ribs (with celery root slaw) sounds finger licking good.
By now you should be hungry for a copy of this book.
How can you win it?
Answer the following question:
Michael offers a Grilled Leg of Lamb with salsa verde recipe for the outdoor grill. If weather does not cooperate what would be your 'Rainy Day' method?
